Try bein' on a hill top at about 15 degrees, with a stiff breeze, Arcey. Kinda gets yer trigger finger right stiff and numb. :o ::) not to mntion makes the actions kinda tricky to work. Oh yeah, mouse phart loads ain't a good idea then either. That's our January and Feruary shoots. March is a toss-up. ::) :-\
Afternoon all. Was 50+ this morning here and sunny. Callin' for the upper 70's here yet today.
I need a bigger crockpot meownself,as long as the crock part is removeable. This morning's run was interesting, considering that we had a FULL moon out :o Our little Houdini added a new trick to his repertouir( SP?). Little stink er not only tried to get out of his harness, but started to strip too. Shoes and socks I can handle, but when he went for the button on his shorts, that's when I got my arm in the way and told him  "Not on this bus, you don't"! >:( And this was while holding on to the back of the wearer's part of the harness to keep him in his seat area. Also, my idea to keep him from releasing the seat part of the setup only lasted bout 30 seconds after he got on board. Had the strap turned so the button was against the seat back. ittle stinker got his finger under anyway and dropped it :o.............Buck 8) ::) :-X
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

70 here with a few showers comin and goin,  almost got ta have yer raincoat on.   supposed to cool off over the next coupla days

when we get the baby birds, they come in boxes with straw padding in the bottom of the box, we have to take the padding out and dispose of it,  they recommend burning it to get rid of any disease it might carry so usually when we take out the cardboard rings we just burn the whole mess,  it's been a good morning to burn, no wind, plenty of humidity and a little lite rain around to keep it from going anywhere,  I love to burn stuff anyway,

got that from my grandma  I think.  ;D

Hey All.

Gotta say taday aint ma favorite day of the year.  Gonna jus try an cruise thru it like usual.  You all seem ta do a dang good job of keepin my spirits high :)  Enough of that.

I hate the dentist Arcey.  Lil's been tryin ta get me ta go fer some time but I always find an excuse ta skip out ::)  Got no pain in there as of yet so I figgur leave well enough alone.  One of ma rear molars lost a fillin some time ago and by now has been reduced to a fang.  It's very usfull fer chewin thru tough meat, so I don't want em messin with it.  I'm sure I'll live ta regret it.

we ran down and went to the Mexican Place then by wally world, picked up some more light bulbs.  we go through a lot of em. we've got around 140 of em burning every night when we have little and big birds, seems like we always got some going out.

rained a little here while we were gone, less than quarter inch,  still hanging at about 70

They go county by county up here when we have burn bans,  it's been such a wet year, we haven't had any but usually in the dead of the summer we can't burn and sometimes if it's a dry winter.
Have a friend down the road, he says his Grandfather used to set the Forrest on fire every earlly spring, said one time it went 8 miles to the Mulberry river before they got it under control, luckily there's nothing between here and there.  if It didn't damage anything I'd like to see the underbrush burn out in the forrest, it's gettin awful thick under there.

Also a good way ta get critters on the run in yer sights.

would be nice if you could see a little ways in there,  right now 50 yards is a long shot in the forrest,  you can hear stuff running around, but ya can't see anything,  lots of hogs out there if you could see em. ;D

OT, Burn, baby, burn ;D
Well, this afternoon's run was somewhat better, he just got out of the harness BEFORE we left the school. One of the handlers brow-beat him back into it. Our other small PITA, noticed the boo-boo on the back of my hand, he pointed it out and I told him yes I had one but didn't know how I got it. He bent over and kissed it, then smiled at me. This one is a Down's kid.
It's sprinkled a little off and on since sometime this afternoon, but I still managed to get the yard mowed/leaves up after dinner ::) :-\
Wade Park again tomorrow afternoon, visit with the Oncologist. Hopefullly we can get some traction to get it done down here(radiatiion)...........Buck 8) ::)

I find it much easier to be patient with troubled kids than stupid adults.
But still, that's got a be a tough job Buck has.  God bless him ;)
