Day didn't start good. Got real good awhile ago.

Days ago the fat lady was next door talkin' with the widow Glenn. Went in the house 'n the door from the garage to the utility room wouldn't close much less latch. Told 'er it'd been that way for months. Said I'd look at it when I saw 'er.

Anyways I see 'er comin' home from Church 'n went over. Pull the door open 'n I see the door's chewed up 'n the bolt plate's scratched all up. Look at the frame 'n the lower strike plate screwed backed out 'n it's jammed in the frame at an angle so the door couldn't shut.

Went 'n got my small screw driver kit. Pried the screw out 'n screwed it back in right but the wood was so tore up I pulled it out with my thumbnail. Have a pile of 2" dry wall type screws intended for outdoor use. Gold wash on 'em. Grabbed the cordless. Derned screw bit good wood 'n drew up pretty. Almost matched the countersink in the plate.

Door shuts. Lockset engages. She's thrilled 'n I've got a grin what's gonna last the rest of the day.

Thankee, Lord!

Howdy folks.  Thanks fer the coffee, 10zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.  I finished the rest of it, kinda thick, so I put another pot on the fire.  Someone watch that it doesn't boil over.

Beautiful day here today, but didn't get to go shooting.  I forgot to turn on the alarm clock. :-[  Oh well, got plenty of things that need done here.

Thanks for the offer OT, but I don't want the hassle.  The way I treat my alarm clock some mornings would have the folks at PETA all over me in a heartbeat. :o

DEL, Are they microwave safe?

Nope, but I checked, they were talkin' about an oven oven, they was afraid they would melt in it. ;D

Guess they might if you set the thermostat up over about 2750F. ::)

Saw in the paper that Chesterfield Co has a "prawn farm."
Seems this place is about 5 miles from the house so we went and "harvested" some prawns.

Old Bay, garlic, lil butter.... DELICIOUS!  ;D

Much cheaper than shrimp in tha stores too.

I bet it was good,  we had grilled some country ribs and Tri-Tips, sure was tasty,  course a little ice cream will be good.  seems like that's the problem when yer eating out, no room left fer dessert

I can identify with that.  We'll go ta a resturaunt and look over the menu.   Lil will look at the deserts and get all excited.  She likes the one called Terimisu or whatever.  By the time we's done with the actual meal, desert aint in the cards.  Always feel bad she didn't get her treat, but bringin food home ta this house is futile.  It disappears with an extraodinary quickness.

Got ta go out an chuck lead taday :D  Lil's new rifle is a sweetheart.  Amazing what pistol rounds can do from a lever gun, I'm very glad we got it.  I'm afraid ta face the 30-30, as it is still stewing in the closet after being left behind.  I'll have ta buy it some flowers an candy er somethin ;D
