Marshal Will Wingam

Mornin' pards. Thanks for the coffee, sleep.

It's clear again this morning. Yesterday was toasty and it'll be more of the same today, cooling slowly up to the weekend.

Sam Elliott, eh? I wish I had his popularity in the movie industry. He's one of the better character actors in westerns.

LOL!!!!!

The village idiot, the mornin', local show host, just told us Russia has battleships. No one has battleships anymore. They're obsolete. Same clown what said the Japs sunk our aircraft carriers at Pearl.

I would like to know where this squirrel gets his info on Russian battleships and the sinking of our carriers at Pearl Harbor. I would like to quiz him on the Pearl Harbor info. I've probably read more about the Pearl Harbor attack and the naval activities in the Pacific during WWII.  I don't like news media people for the most and would dearly enjoy ripping him a new A$$HOLE on his inaccurate info.

Have a fresh copy of TORA! TORA! TORA! here on the desk unopened. B'day gift from my girls.  Maybe I should loan it to him so he can pay attention.

Hate not to listen to the fool. He pulls in some seriously interestin' guests includin' a few historians. If ya want a real thrill the station streams. wnis.com.

When he gets in his zone I shut 'im off 'n go to the Bortz show on line. The computer in the den has a hell of an amp on it for games 'n the thing'll rattle the windows. Easy ta hear in the kitchen durin' KP.

Whadja think of the recent one with Cuba Jr?  I think they tried ta be accurate.
When I went ta Hawaii years ago all the men who gave the presentation at the memorial were Pearl vets.  I doubt it's that way now, what with time movin along.  Soldier who gave us the tour had done it several times a day fer years, and the guy still cried durring the slide show.  I can only imagine, an I don't want to.

These big turkeys we got will go out in a coupla weeks,  they are lettin em get a little bigger and will be sent out for some of the Thanksgiving Turkeys,  takes a lot of turkeys to feed everybody.   ;D  I think they are putting aroiund 40,000 a night in the freezer,  5 nights a weeks,  toward the end of this month they'll go to 7 days a week for about a month to get all they can ready to go out.

your right about that,  we've got a coupla hundred over 32,000 that will be going in a week or two,  they should weigh about 15 pounds each, so  just our farm this one flock will weigh around 480,000 pounds of birds.  should feed a couple of family's ;)

:-[ I cheated.  The park provided it.  The bottom was pretty wet, so that's what you see laying at my head.  I dried it by the fire and kept it there in case I needed a little extra padding, which I never did.

I was in Richmond again today for another meeting and saw that our VA pards are paying about $.50 less than we are.  OK, it's still expensive, but I'd like half a buck less. :(

Last year my mother made a turkey breast instead of a whole turkey and it was soooooo good!  She denied marinating or doing anything different, so I really don't know what was different.  I'm looking forward to another one.

Trinity, it probably got tumbled,  they put these turkeys in a big drum,  looks like a big clothes dryer and tumble them for 6 hours, to tenderrize them,  at least that's the way they do it here and I know Honeysuckle White does the same thing, so I'm asuming most do the same.
our turkeys here go to Springdale, Ar. for further processing,  that's where they do turkey breasts and several other items.  they just do whole turkeys at Ozark.

Don't know who Cuba Junior is/was, Leo.

He's an actor name a Cuba Gooding Junior that played a ships cook.  In the movie (Pearl Harbor), he manned the guns when no one was left ta do it.  Kinda like the chaplain in the old song " Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition".  If ya like war movies, it's a perty good one.

HEY!   somebody stole my hay.  They put it back but it's all wet.  Need ta keep a closer eye out 'round here.

Gas prices aint nothin nice around here.  "Wow, I can take this here 5 spot an get me a gallon.  Can't wait ta get the change!  The gumball machine looks soooo inviting."
