Yer way closer ta the bay than I am the ocean front, cuz. Reckon the spray gets ta yers frequently.

I love ta kid around but, seriously, I'm glad I went out to watch. Had I not been, I'd ah had a Dominion bucket truck sunk to it's frame in the back with a ruptured 550 gallon oil tank. The tank is almost full. The EPA, state 'n folks from the sierra club wouldah thrown ah hissy fit 'n been in the yard with back hoes this mornin'.

Fill ya in on what I think the basis of the problem was when I see ya next if ya wanna hear it. Cain't post it here.

Them power prblems are a pain,  we've got the generator for runnin all the turkey houses and a portable 10,000 KW for the house,  we had the one down at the turkey houses struck by ligntning a coupla years ago,  sounded like a small cannon going off,  blew one of the terminals out the side, took em about an hour and a half to replace it.

made a run down town to get a few supplies,  we went by the Courthouse and voted early, decided to just go ahead and get it out of the way.
while were in the grocery store, they had a new display with Hot Cajan penuts.  reached in got one, cracked it out,  boy they weren't lyin  it was a HOT  peanut. mouth burned the whole time we were in there.

Thinkin' it's fixed proper now, thanks.

The folks I bought the peanuts from had 'em in three bushel baskets. One marked plain, one salted-in-the-shell 'n one Cajun. Knowin' myownself as well as I do I thought it best ta leave the Cajun there. As salty as the ones I got were I can imagine the Cajuns were right warm....

speaking of heat  ???   got our first fire of the season goin in the wood stove tonight, cleaned it out good and started it up to make sure nothing was blockin the way. gonna havta try not to get too much heat goin.   40 degrees out right now, with a promised low of 25, at least the winds starting to die down, looks like it's gonna be pretty calm.  felt a lot colder last night, wind was gustin about 25 mph.

dang cold weather.

I got some Cajun peanuts the last time I was in Arkansas and they weren't Hot at all. I still like the plain salted in the shell the best.

TLD,  does that freeze alert come down to your house tonight,  they had the map up on the weather a little bit ago and it looked like was coming pretty close to ya.

We'z gettin' a freeze here too.  Supposed to get down to 27-31.  Got my winders open ready to welcome the cool weather.  Had the sniffles today, so I'm trying to beat them off.

I'm thinkin' of getting my second White House Cherry Klondike bar.  I've been good at having only one, but...

They are saying it might get down this far. Moose is going to cover her plants. I don't think it will get to 32 tonight, but you never know.

the wind has dropped off here to almost nothing, so I'm expecting it to get pretty cool, it's down to 37 now and just kinda holding , got the door open,  let the wood stove get a little too much heat goin and I only got 3 pieces of split wood, but it is good and dry wood,  Jackie turned on the floor fan so I thought I'd better open the door and let a little air change places.

it's supposed to start warming back up tomorrow, supposed to in the low 70's by the end of the week,  it sure felt cold today with all the wind and only being 50 degrees.

That's what I hate about the first days of cool weather. The getting accustomed to the cool weather after all the heat of the summer.

it always strange the way the cold does ya in the fall,  50 degrees feels like really cold, but by spring, if it gets 50 I'll be looking for ma short pants, I guess it's that getting used to it and being used to the cold weather.

to tell the truth, I'd just as soon live where I could wear ma short pants all the time.

last coupla days, I've had one finger on ma right hand that sure has been stiff,  anytime I hammer on steel a little too much, I can sure tell it, and when it's cold it makes it worse,   seems like that one finger don't want to bend at all, had one a few years back that would lock up and I'd have to take my other hand and straighten it out, went to see the doc,  he said just lay off using it a little while and see what happened,  it went to working in about a week so I just slow down on using the hands when they start gettin stiff.
