Barrel Liners
« on: September 24, 2008, 07:25:12 PM »
I have been thinking about putting  barrel liners in my 51 and 61 navies.  Has anyone used the 9mm - 357 liners that are advertised by Numrich?  I am concerned about the depth of rifling and whether it will work well with a lead bullet. ???

The specs look fine, especially at the low velocity we use for CAS shooting.  One thing to remember, though.  If you already have conversion cylinders that were designed for unlined barrels, putting in a barrel liner won't do much good because the chamber throats on the cylinders are oversize.

R&D offers cylinders designed for relined barrels, I would presume Kirst does also, but as Pettifogger said, if you already have the cylinder, made for the 375 bore, you'lll have a mismatch.
