Yeh Riot Earp , but does that mean you cannot afford the gun either  ;D
I am pretty sure the amount of drool that would come out of your mouth while there would eliminate any real chances for you to raise your hand , or the ability to raise your hand to bid on anything anyway .  ;D

Probably.

I'm not into Walkers. I mainly wanted to go to see their other cap & ball guns. I'm mainly into Colt Navy revolvers, both the '51 (should be called a '50) and the '61. But I also like the Leech & Rigdon (and Rigdon & Ansley) Confederate guns.

Understood Riot Earp ,
too bad you aren't going to be able to pull it off and go , but gas is attrociously priced and I can soooooo relate. It takes me $25 daily to drive to work ? I feel like I am paying the man to work for him , not the other way around .
Would be nice to see that Walker up close , that's for sure , and all thier other guns too , they got quality stuff there for sure .
The only reason your not into Walkers is because you aint got one , trust me . You would be if you had one or two of them , let alone that one for auction . You'd really be into Walkers if you owned that one .  ;D
I agree though , the 51 and 61 are hard to not to call your pets and favorites .
Hopefully someone ehre will make the journey and go see this auction and tell us how nice it was , boo hoo hoo for us...

Sincerely, Alabama

Sold for $920,000! A mere pittance! Hmmm, that would keep me supplied for a LONG time with some FINE shooters...

There was also a significant buyer's premium on top of the winning bid.

For a Colt with this kind of provenance and for a piece this rare - it's an investment that will only rise in value.

St. George, thats assuming the lucky winner/bidder isnt gonna throw it down on the loading and unloading tables every weekend at the local cas shoot. ;)  ;D

I wonder how much the premium was, and what the seller got in the end?
