Annie, thanks for the news about my little brother.

If he wasn't dead I was gonna kill him for worryin' the family.

If he was dead I was gonna kill him for puttin' Ma through it all.

Now I'm jusrt gonna kill him for not stayin' in touch.

Thanks fer the coffee, Cuz.

Tornados went through last night. My homestead was spared. Please pray for the families that were not so lucky.

Here's the story from the Milwaukee paper.

Slim, glad you're OK.  I hadn't heard of this storm yet.  My sister-in-law and family lives in Edgerton, WI. I'm sure my wife will be checking on her this morning.

I love the smell of Black Powder in the morning!

Delmonico

He didn't say I couldn't drive! ;D  Normal activity as tolerated, sides that the seat belt is my car don't rub wrong.  Bought a sirloin tip roast and some Yukon Gold taters, had onions and carrots already, it's in the oven.   ;D

Sad thing is when I got here GG was here, he raided my gun room, took my Low-Wall winny and my Sharps, 150 rounds of 22 Hornet and 71 rounds of 45-70, (330 Gould HP behind 75 gr Goex CTG)  He said something about defendin' pastures in South Central Newbrassky from rodents.

And he would not take me, I promised to sit up straight and not shoot prone. ::)

The Reno Hilton hosts a very large gun show 2 to 3 times a year here.  They specialize in old west and antique firearms.  Many local CAS members show up in period attire and with period accoutrements.  I had the opportunity to but a rifle for well less that it's normal value, but needed cash.   Walked into the Casino part of the hotel, complete with three .45's on my person, dressed appropriately to use the ATM (located next to a Casino bar).  One patron turned around, saw me, and asked if this was a holdup (of the ATM).  I told him "No!  But I did ask it to 'Stand and deliver! ', And when it didn't I decided to use my plastic card.

Dang!  Now all the flavor's done been warshed out!

((I'm feeling much better now.  Thank you all for your inquiries and worries.  I suffered this week the worst kidney stone attack (yet by one of the smallest stones!!!) that I have ever had.  It started Monday morning and passed Wednesday night but awoke Thursday morning to stabbing pains again.  Luckily, they were only "phantom" pains and I have had no more.  However, I have been sick to my stomach until today probably due to the pain medications and lack of food.  I think I am now back to normal!   ::) ::) ::)  I had to have that cat scan after all... and the doctor told me that I should be ok for a while!

I'm glad that every one else is safe and sound and up to their regular crazy shenanigans!))
