well let me tell you tha hospital coffee was lousy this morin'.   Ten minutes after I got home the sourdough starter was out of the icebox, had a cup of warm water added to it and it is now sittin' in a pan of hot water and it is alive and bubbly.  Sourdough biscuits hand country sausage gravy from canned milk later.

And I got home and my wife had forgot to water my Jerico Rose and it was all dried up and wilted.

(litl rooster now needs that new roll, I'll explain later for those who don't understand. )

A Jerico rose is a kind of tumble weed from the Middle east.  When it lacks water it curls up into a ball a little bigger than a golf ball.  When it finds water it spreads out into an ugly little fern with in a 1/2 hour. 

A popular novelty in times past they can still be found sometimes. 


Mine was lost for about 3 years before it was found behind a picture on the shelf, it is doing fine I watered it.

I had biscuits and gravy Sunday morning, yesterrday for lunch, and will likely have them tomorrow for lunch.

I'm with Slim on this.  Of course, I always side mine with a plate of cholesterol, salt, grease, and fat (bacon).

Me, personally? Nope. Never saw one that I wanted enough to have done, though I thought about it for many years. Thought about getting a bud rose on my breast, but reconsidered when I thought about the natural course of ageing and how that tat would turn into a long stemmed rose!

I got a tatoo when I was nine. 

Fedral grant to some professor type who did a study to find out that in an accident, the place least likely to suffer damage was under the left arm.  He convinced the school district to let him blood type every kid and tatoo the blood type on the left side under the arm. 

Some didn't have it done for various reasons...my sister screamed and kicked her way clear.

Penmanship was so poor that many of the tats were unreadable.  The girls grrew up and found a tat with A+ a quarter inch high and six inches long.  Couple of kids got infections.

It may have worked, but it never got off the grounf and I got re-typed every time I needed a security clearance, got an annual physical, or changed jobs for most of my life.  They all found the same thing: I'm AB+

I don't need tatoos to decorate my glorious bod.  I got scars instead.
