Ok, I've got to know: What's green cheese?

AnnieLee

Okie, it's uncooked and unripened cheese aka fresh cheese.

So, it's pressed curds?

Cottage cheese!

I like cottage cheese!

:D

AnnieLee

Some sort of it I expect. The best ones are made with sheep or goat milk or at least of a mixture of sheep and cow's milk.
French cheese don't mean much to me we have our own cheese varieties and i prefer them to French ones.

A few years back, I was in Provence, France for verk. At every meal they had these balls of cheese that looked like they'd been wrapped in leaves and buried.  I tried one. They tasted like they'd been wrapped in leaves and buried... for ten years.

The bottom line is... People generally like the things they are used to.

Did you like the castor oil in the eggs? ;D If a renowned cook such as Delmonico uses it so much, there must be some virtues to it.

Me, I didn't touch the eggs. Too high on colestherol  ::) ;D

Ah, but I liked feta the first time I tried it.  ( I was going to make a comment here about the strange things I have put in my mouth, but doing so would be too much of a temptation for the men to make ungentlemanly remarks, so I'll refrain...  :P :P)

Miz Annie, Us gentlemen(?) do have to be careful about temptation and be cognizant of when discretion is the better part of valour. I don't believe even our more rash ones would stoop to that on here....Hopefully............Buck 8) ::) :o :o :-\

Crude suggestions, perhaps....

The fridge was stocked for the long weekend with plans on cooking out. It had a rack of pork ribs, steaks, and good ground beef.

Had.

While we were outside working, my wonderfully smart dogs figured out how to remove one end of the child proof latch of the fridge.

Luckily my son had to go inside the house for something and caught them as they wolfed down the steaks. The ribs were spared.

I love my dogs...

:D

AnnieLee (and yes they were very good steaks)

Annie,

It looks as if it is time for a hasp on the refrigerator, either that or quit bringing home things the dogs like.

Joyce (AnnieLee)

Old Top, I am starting to think my male dog is channeling the spirit of either Harry Houdini or some nameless locksmith. If I put a latch on that door, he'd probably find a way to STILL get in the fridge!

Yeah, I haveta laugh about it. Getting angry wouldn't help any.

By the way, the coffee is fresh for this pretty Sunday morning!
