Trinity, at one of the meetings this past month, one of our foriegn visitors commented that the meetings were good, but he could not find a decent steak in the evenings. During a break, I walked over to him.
"I know where you can get a great steak."
"Oh? Where?"
"Just head on over to Nebraska," I hooked my thumb in a westerly direction, "they have excellent steaks there."
His eyes got bright at the idea, "Can you give me directions?" Then he paused, brows furrowing. "Isn't Nebraska in the midwest?"

Hey! I have French ancesters. I still have a French family name.

Some folks of the same name ended up in the States. The name was Americanized, and is now the name of a City in Nevada

I have French ancestors too, and my married name is decidedly French. But when I am asked if it is French, I reply "No, it's West Virginian."
