Ribs are finnally almost perfect, still a little sore at times, durn those heal up slow.

Last fall I cooked "Tom" he was a year and a half old tom turkey that was my brother-in-laws.  Well "Tom" got so he attacked folks, lost his head over it.  Bob could not eat him, so he gave his earthly remains to me.  It took me 2 days to cook him, but I got his meat to fall of the bones.  My wife and step daughter could not eat him either cause he was their friend till he got mean.  Heck I met him a few times but didn't really care for him much, he was not my idea of a friend.  So I froze "Tom" in packages and ate him in a month, best turkey I ever ate that had not been shot.

Must be my farmer background, was at a friends house one night after deer huntin'.  Was invited for supper, hamburgers.  (How comes dairy farmers eat so much hamburger?   Must ask our friend from Wissyconsion. )  Well I will say it was veeerry good hamburger, Jim asked Sandy which one it was from, "It was from Martha, you know that almost black one with the 2 pink and the 2 black teats."   Sadly Sandy passed on in 1995, she was a wonderful lady and the best deer tracker I've ever seen.

Annie, I can go with either one as long as you don't call it a "Bandolero".  Something about that makes fingernails on a chalk board sound like a lullabye by comparison.

Bandolero is a bandito, a brigand, NOT something to carry things across the body and over a shoulder.

We put an old rooster in the pot once and the water turned brown. Since then, we don't try ta cook roosters if they are older than a year.

Slim, I hate to even ask this, but did you wash him, gut him, pluck him, etc before you tossed him in that pot? 

Sometimes  even a good cook can overlook those little things.

Glad to her you're gettin' back to normal, Del. Them ribs can be touchy things, been there done that. Sis-in-law is goin' to Physical Torture three times a week now. Arm almost gets straight out now. She'll be out of the splint in about two weeks.......Buck
