Hey, Miz Annie, you mentioned on the other thread about wantin' to see the horse with a glass eye, how's about a half bald squirrel? Just had one at the feeder back here that has a big patch at the base of his tail, most of the hip/saddle area, and under neath him. No fur! Couldn't see any scabs or signs of injury. The skin's smooth, no apparent breaks. Kinda grey in color. It's quite small compared to the others..........Buck

Speaking of Elle...

Here is what I found during yesterday's jaunt. She's perfect to tote around and doesn't weigh much more than one of my RATS Rugers. Makes for a good heft in my hand, too!

I got me one of them little ones.  My momma gave it to me when I moved out so's I'd have something to cook with.  The first time I got egg stuck in it, I scrubbed all the "seasoning" off!  I gave up cooking with it. 

Now-days I just have the staff cook fer me.        ...      The staff at Waffle House or the staff at McDonalds or the staff at...   Naw, it may not be as good as home cooked, but better than my home cooking the cleanup is far better!!

So, what's her name, AnnieLee?

She's too big to carry concealed, but I could fashion a leather strap and hang her from my rig. I dunno if Bob Mernickle would craft a holster for her!

Buck, I would say yer squirrel made an unsuccessful atempt to put yer lights out literally.   Here in Lincoln we see those evey once in a while.  Just the other day LES said that 75% of all power outages last year were caused by squirrels.

Back in the Dark Ages    when we still had an 'lectric stove I was gonna make me some supper, as I was searin' a piece of meat in an iron skillet I heard louder searin' noises out side as the stove and the lights went dead witha loud pop.  Went out side and the neighbor was walkin' out to the alley.  There, still smokin' was the little bugger that delayed supper.   He looked a but over done and I don't like the taste of burnt hair.   LES came out and had to put in a transformer cause the rodent killed it before the breaker could pop.

he mighta made contact. This one is pretty small. Like I said, the fur was gone all over his hips just in front of his tail and there was a patch gone on his underside. Maybe he tangled with something up on the hill.........Buck

Well, AnnieLee, the first thing that comes to mind for a name is "Belle".  However, I have to wonder if Elle and Belle is not just too corney!  ( Trinity just asked me what was being said about corn.  I told him to go away.)

I think that Mernickle would be up to the challenge to making something for you.  Challenges cost money, though...
