But it does involve food.

Will is a retired Pinkerton, he wouldn't bother you unless there was a big reward.  An active one would not tell you that he was one, he would get yer confession, his boss or a Marshall would arrest you and he'd dissapear.  Read "A Cowboy Detective" by Charley Siringo, the Pinkertons would not let him use real names in the book.

We'z got back 'bout 45 mins ago. 10 hour drive. I'z gonna try ta get some sleep before the kids get up at 6:30 or sooner. I need a vacation after my vacation.

I got to hit Del with his own hat. I got to hit him with Will's hat. I got to hit him with my new and crookedy parasol.

I got to hug Slim, Mrs. Slim, all the little Slimettes, GopherGrease, Terry, Linda, Ornery, Mrs. Ornery...

Life is good.

On the way back, we went through security with out a hitch or a beep, then found our flight was delayed and the coffee shop wasn't opened. So, we went back out for breakfast. The only difference with us the second time we went through was that we had drinks and cinnamon buns. ***BEEP***I got felt up by an elderly TSA agent, as I stood in front of the world with my arms extended. **BEEP** "Oh, is that an underwire bra?"  Then she felt to make sure. < Still shuddering >
Me> Aren't you supposed to be using the back of your hand for that?"
Her> No, only for the "sensitive"areas.

Will had two AA batteries confiscated, but they let him keep two, along with the metal arrowhead with the sharp point.

But, my digital camera has pics, including one with Slim and the parasol.

Yep, life is GOOD!

Cracker Barrels in Newbrasskey always have trouble with the Psudo-Amish, funny, I didn't think we looked Amish.

Buck there are some pictures over on Ncows forum on TFS.  None of me yet though.

"Pardon me, Ma'am, I don't want to be insulting or offend you, but I have a question..." stammered out the check-out lady at Cracker Barrel, "but what is your heritage?"

There I stood, in my cape, lace over cotton shirt, greenish skirt, and brogans. The hat and snood had been left in the car. "My heritage? It's American."

She became even more flustered. "Well, no, not that, I mean, I mean, and really don't want to offend, but I heard you talking... " and then she gave a general wave toward Delmonico and Gopher Grease, who were in their hats and other regular clothing (for them), and Will in his vest, boot and pants. "Are you .... uh... errr... from one of those uhh... groups... uh.. I don't know if I have the right name of it..."

"Are you asking if we are Amish?" I asked, helpfully.
"Yes!"
"Naw, we aren't Amish."

I had to leave before I started to laugh.

I don't know whether to laugh at folks like that or feel sorry for them because, since they saw "Witness" once, they feel that they are people of the world!    Did you ever tell them why you were so dressed?? (I hope not  )
