Morning, folks! The coffee is hot but you have to scrounge your own grub for I am off to a herb and garden show, complete with a Victorian tea. I have no doubt that Del will somehow manage to make it look like a yuppy event. I'll beat him later.

Gosh that tea's gotta be tasting bad by now.  Only one leaf for how many patrons? ... and then on top of that it's over 100 years old!  I hope you are not paying for this!!!

Oh, I paid all right, I paid far too much.

THEY USED TEA BAGS!!!




No atmosphere, plastic flower centerpieces,plastic tablecloths, plastic plates,  no places to put the used tea bags when you were done with them, no sugar cube tongs.

But the lesbian couple we sat with was nice.

I am 'bout ready to revel that there were yuppies in the Old West, heck even billy the Kid had a Cardigan sweater, was he a yuppie or did he shoot a yuppie and steal his sweater? But any way if there were yuppies a yuppy tea would be perriod correct right?  More research is in order, but I is studying perriod candy right now.

A person could get a real sugar high if they wanted.

It wasn't what I expected, Old Top.

Two years ago, they had a Colonial Tea, and along with showing us how ladies had teas and used tea services back then, they made an "herbal" flower arrangement and gave it away. It was in a glass room over looking the gardens.

Last year they moved to a closed in room in the middle of the gardens and the theme was Alice in Wonderland. The tea was in bags, but the servers were all dressed like Alice in Wonderland characters. Whoever had a queen of hearts on their seat took home a cut rose.

This year it was again in the closed room. I wish it had been a yuppy tea, for then we would have had linens, New Age music and real flowers.
