Oh boy, now I get to play with words! A baldric is worn over the shoulder to hold a sword, such as a great sword or a claymore (sword).  A baldric is related in function and appearance to a bandoleer (bandolier). A bandoleer can be used to carry ammunition, or a claymore (mine).

So, since Leigh is shaped like a claymore, should the shoulder strap be a baldric or a bandoleer?
