I got a note from Slim last night. It was a brief one and he sounded very tired. But he also sounded happy.


Morning, it's Friday and the coffee is a LOT fresher than the steaks in Trinity's fridge!

Not a lot of rain, but Buck sent us one heckuva storm! Lost power around 9, it came back on around 1:30. By then I was long in bed.  Today I'll be driving by you on my way to go pick up Will from camp. It's gonna be a very long day, but it'll be great to see the boy.

Rain!? Ya got rain? Temps here are ranging from 90 to 100. It's dry as a bone. And the center of the Country has been on fire for the last 3 days.

They did have a little punch to them, Annie. My insurance agent's power was out yesterday before i called him to discuss my latest foray into collision repair. His 'puters still weren't working when I called. On my way to the liscense bureau, I noticed a younger tree with the upper half busted off. Don't know if lightning took it out or not........Buck

No rain here to speak of...Lots of physics but no amount of moisture. We haven't had any fires around here yet but it's  the beginning of fire season. Use to pack supplies to the firefighters, smoke jumpers in the Bitterroots for a Outfitter I worked with. Dangerous work, not sure I could hold up these days to it. The firefighting part of it.
  Annie glad you got your boy home. As I right this the rain is letting loose. Metal roof, it probably will not amount to anything

Hi, honies, I'm home~~~~~~~

The boy is home, fine, happy, and tired. He has stated that he is sleeping in tomorrow!

It was a long, but uneventful drive. On the way back, I stopped at a gardening shop and picked up new palm leaf hats for us and found some of those neck coolers at the same shop. The slight downside was we didn't make it to my favourite orchid shop before they closed.

Coffee is hot.....rained for 45 minutes last nite. We needed it. May have to move cattle this week due to water shortages, was trying to get another month of graze before shipping. The rain will help. Was hoping to target practice yet today also. See what happens outside.
