I remember the first dog I ever hit, I was going to Muskogee to the Movies,  boworred my Mom's 64 Chevy Impala,  he came running across the road, I was going bout 35,  caught that dog with the bumper guard,(least wise that was the only bloody spot)  them old time bumper guards were killers.  no dents, do ding, just heavy metal.

Used to have a dog that would chase us up north of Lincoln where we used to fish.  a 500 string of 1 1/2 lady fingers out the window cured it.  Never chased us again, would wait along the road, see my old pick-up I had then a comin' would just head for the house.

Only dog I ever hit was in Louisville. Had my parents '68 Fairlane 500, 289, three on the tree. Beautiful , quick car.......Buck

Last dog I run over was a neighbor's ankle biter. Didn't know it. Said it got out when her kid opened the door to get the mail 'n he saw me run o'er the thing. Wanted me to pay the vet bill. Told her I wasn't liable for her 'n her son's irresponsibility. We had gotten along real well before that.

I kilt another cat before the motorsickle incedent.  Me an my buddy had picked up a couple girls in a coffee shop, and they was gonna go back ta our place in my car.  One of em wanted ta pick up a pack of smokes at the 7-11 so I pulled inta the parking lot an heard a "bump".  One of the girls in the back started screaming.  I guess I hit that cat just right (or just wrong) so that it flew up from under the wheel well and landed right outside her window.
     It ruined the evenin   The gals wasn't in the mood fer fun an games after that.

The fat lady, when she wasn't fat, 'n me used to spend the night on the beach at Sand Bridge occasionally. Wasn't goin' all that fast headin' to a friend's cottage where we used ta leave the car, almost there, 'n two cats jumped off an embankment 'side the road. Missed the lead cat. Got the second with the right side the grill.

The thing sailed on out like a nice, low punt, hit the road then turned into a speed bump. She freaked. That was that for the stay on the beach. Turned the car around 'n went back to the apartment.
