International Association of Chiefs of Police

Also, here is a pic of an Euroarms case but no emblem.

Also, the overall measurments on my Pietta 1858 is 13 7/8. It will not fit in the case. The inside measurments of this case is 13 5/8. Is the 8" Euroarms 1858 shorter?

I bought a stainless Pietta that was a highly polished engraved presentation pistol that was given as a gift in 1984 through the international assn of cheifs of police. The dimensions were similar to a Euroarms gun. Its smaller frame size and smaller grip shape were identical to the euro. I would have kept it except it was so poorly made it would shave huge amounts of lead on the barrel throat due to the cylinder stop cutouts being not alligned properly. It was a "tease", like marrying a pretty woman who wouldn't "perform". Nice looking gun but you couldn't shoot it it was made to look good but that was it.

Looks good, Savvy Jack!

Can't tell where ya did the mod.

Now, get rid of the plastic stuff (for display) and the Rem cap tin.  Old cap tins look great and will hold those Rem caps jes' fine.  Then, get a straight handled bullet mould (Colt moulds generally had curved handles; Remington were generally straight) and an "L" shaped nipple wrench and you'll look like the whole shebang is 140+ years old!  But new!
;)

Or leave it as is and be proud of it anyway!

lol, thanks.

Here are a few pics after I refinished the case. I sanded off the emblem, removed the cardboard bottom and replced it with a wood bottom. The emblem edges were actually raised some by the varnish and needs to be resanded again but it will have to wait. This will be my range case and I made a jig to make a few more cases with varying divider pockets.
