Here's how it went.

After getting a lot of information for all you pards on the forum I loaded up about 150 round of Goex FFFG for my revolvers and rifle and a couple of boxes of shot shell for the shotgun.  (Loaded through my Dillon and Mec thrower.)     Crazy Emmitt wrote the stages today so that makes for an interesting match.   Should have shot gunfighter frontier cartridge but shot Traditional since I was trying new loads and new powder.

Shooting with the Posse that went off at 0730 I am first shooter on every stage.  First stage was a test with one miss and lots of smoke.  More than I normally make.   (Not bad)   Second stage, interesting and shot clean,    :D    I says to myself I'm get to like this.   Third stage, shotgun was quick and clean, rifle??    ???    what happen to my eyes, first shot hit, second shot hit, 3 4 5 6 7 misses, 8 hit, 9 and 10 misses.   Man I didn't even want to shoot the pistols, however, I could stop so I clean shot the pistols.   Fourth stage, more rifle misses,  man I'm getting older by the minute and I'm beginning to think "Where's my Marlin".   So I put the "73" away on the final and fifth stage and shoot my Henry.   No rifle misses.  That's a bad deck I'm thinking I must have bent my barrel on the 73 and it's only a couple months old.    Everyone clears the stage so I reload the 73 grab a couple of pardners and go to siting in.  I'm shooting all over the place.  Nothing where I'm aiming.    Reload grabs my 73 and shoots a few rounds.  He gets No hits.  Fellow safisticates I look down the barrel and can't see daylight much less rifling.   I guess now you men will laugh and tell me to swab between stages when using Goex Holy Black.  Well, enjoy yourselves,  I'll say this much, I had a blast and had to laugh all the way home.   Now to figure out what to swab with during a match and what to set up on my gun wagon.

When yer ready to give up the frustration, give Big Lube™ bullets a look.  I shoot only Holy Black and routinely run a full Three day annual match without cleaning till I get back to the ranch.  It's easy and many pards are doing it.

The bullets haul so much lube that the fouling stays soft and just blows away.  Your second and your hundredth shot encounter the SAME amount of fouling.  Life is good.

Until you get the Big Lube Boolits I suggest you swab your bore with Moose Milk, a suspension of Ballistol in water. I use about one part Ballistol to nine parts water.
There are a lot of bullets that carry enough lube for the pistols, at least for a few relays. The rifles need more lube, either a grease cookie or the Big Lubes.

Since I didn't design the first Four Big Lube®LLC bullets, I can't claim credit for them.  But, they all had one thing in common, besides the name I gave them.  That is, they all carry far more lube than lesser designs.  All that lube means that the fouling is thoroughly splashed with black powder lube and it stays soft.  The soft fouling blows out the muzzle easily and only the fouling from the last shot remains.  That's why your second and your last shot will always encounter a minimum of fouling.

Now, we both know of "fouling shots".  A clean barrel will print to a different pattern than a fouled one.  But, too much fouling is bad for accuracy.  So, the answer is in the lube.  Lots of lube keeps the fouling soft so it blows out and your second and succeeding shots print to the same pattern.  FWIW, long distance shooters are learning the same thing about Big Lube bullets.  Match winning accuracy without need to wipe between shots is the hallmark of these bullets.

My hat is off to those original Four that designed the first Big Lube bullets.  Mostly, they did it independently and unaware of others.  All reached similar designs for one reason.  They work.

Yep, when using big lubes I cant tell the difference looking in the bore between the end of the first stage or the end of five stages.
