Dead man's Gun grip

I noticed on the series the Deadman's gun that the grip seems to have a cap or something on the bottom, anyone with any clues? And if someone knows where I can find a picture of that gun let me know too!

If the grip looks like it has a grip cap - the propmaster may have added a 'Tiffany-style' grip to enhance the uniqueness of the piece.

Sterling Silver, and Silver and Gold Tiffany grips were a feature of the various presentation guns of the era - most often seen on Colts that were heavily engraved and cased.
