Last weekend my group went to Prescott, AZ to compete in a reenactor costume/skit event called Shootout on Whiskey Row. Well, we took first prize and swept the costume awards to boot. A very proud moment for us all.

Incidentally, it was my first time wearing my self-made gunleather in public! Here's me accepting a first place adorned with a Will Ghormley buckle.

Thanks, hombres! Because most of you fine folks are Cowboy Action Shooters, I thought you might enjoy seeing how the other Old West enthusiasts compete.
At one point I get shot and fall down (on concrete). I was so protective of my leather holster that I did a Chuck Berry twist so's to not scratch it up!

;) :D :o 8) Congrats, Santee, looks like you all had a real good time , and you'll love that Will Ghormley buckle, I know how you feel about scuffing up that new gun leather, it's kinda like your baby, and your the creator of it and the protector, don't feel bad, I'm the same way with all my rigs too, I guess it's just pride in ownership, I don't mind my stuff getting that used and been around look, I just don't want it to happen all in one day. Take care , and again I'm happy for you Pard.. :D ;D Just one thing , how did you get those nice looking gals to hang with you  ??? ::) :o 8)

Those two gals were costume judges. Probably made their own dresses!

Gun Butcher, that hat is a Boss of the Plains from Knudsen Hats. Sure needs a leather hatband... ;)

Howdy Santee,

Thats gotta be a great feeling to win a costume award wearing your very own leather. I'm happy for you.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself
