A couple of shots of my double cross draw on a Fair weather Christian belt for my 1875's. ( I also got a left hand strongside for when I shoot with some nervous nellies that worry about the crossdraw rigs double cross-double watchin') Also a shot of me scoutin for a group of no account soldiers up at Piru..

Daniel and Capt, you got some sweet fotos there

enjoy.

Hey Curley, I KNOW those two owlhoots in the middle of your last picture!  In fact, I shoot with 'em regularly.

The one one the left side of middle is Lefty Longridge, a SASS champion and a great fellow.  The one on the right side of middle is Sergeant Major O'Donnell, also a great fellow, and the one I try my utmost to beat at each match.  'Course its friendly competition at its finest.

Curley Cole

Yep, I thought you might have crossed paths with them soldier blues....The other two are Old Top next to me, and on far right is Cole Harbour, he works with Lefty. It was a good days shootin but a pretty good drive from the Inland Empire and back.

good shootin

Were you shootin' SASS or W3G?  Both are shot on the range where the pic was taken, and both are a teetotal Hoot-to-Shoot!

Yup, that was right about the time that the "Ship Hit the Sand" for me business-wise, so I missed a LOT of matches.

I regularly shoot the Deadwood Boys W3G (second Sunday) and the Deadwood Drifters SASS (fourth Saturday) at that range, and I occasionally shoot Hole In The Wall (first Sunday) across the creek from where you were.

Curley Cole

umm, sorry to hear that. I got outta the state service just in time. They are cutting our work by having each employee take 2 unpaid furlough days a month and taking away 2 holidays. (where I work at the asylum they are already paying out 1 million a month in overtime, so I don't know how they are gonna do this but I am out of the ranks..

look foward to seein g ya down the road.

At long last, the moon and the stars (and the weather) have lined up to allow me to take some more pics.

You all remember the first pics of my pair of Uberti NMA's, the ones I stripped that ugly Millennium finish off of, right?  Well, here's how they look now, after a year of regular use and moderate care.  They're developing quite a patina:

You may also remember that I gave myself a pair of "dress guns" for Christmas.  I've finally finished setting them up, so here they are:

I really like that second knife Daniel!  That thing is sweet!  What lenght barrel do you have on those formal attire guns?

Thanky kindly, Sir!  I believe it to be reservation-made, crafted some time between the mid-1940's and early 1950's for sale to tourists and etc.  All the stones and the carved mother-of-pearl are real, but the handle itself is made of aluminum.  The blade was  machined from some thick tool steel, and was probably purchased elsewhere.  It really holds an edge.  I occasionally slap it on my pistol belt as a functional decoration, and it does draw attention/comment.

They're 5.5-inch stainless steel Piettas that I got from EMF.  The lightened hammer springs and R&D conversion cylinders also came from EMF.  The grips are from Western & Wildlife Wonders.

Thanks Daniel!

I'm actually going out to the Navajo res in a month for an archaeological review of Canyon De Chelly.  I'm really looking forward to going back out there.  I may even post up pics and such of the adventure in Tall Tales!  I want to learn how to do the awesome beadwork and such and incorporate that into my character in the leather and gear.

thanks for the info, again beautiful Remmies and knifes!
