I've got Bernie's mould for the 2 grooved Remington heel base bullet. That Lyman mould must be discontinued. Do you know the # of the Mould?  Is it by any chance the Lyman 429185?

Thanks for the info, HH.  :)

I'll take a look in the morn and get back to ya!

Capt Elliot,

i gotta say it again, your persona is amazing and I love that you fire the Remingtons to just add to the uniqueness!  Awesome, absolutely awesome!

My '75's. I pick them up next week  :)

Ah the Frontier model. Say, if go get a copy of the movie Posse starring Mario Van Peoples, you'll note that his character uses a nickel plated Remington 1875 Frontier.
A work in progress.

Thanks guys, couple more from today. I picked them up on Friday  ;D Thinking that my wife should have these '75's and I will get a pair of '58's with 8 inch barrels  ;)

Prairie Twist.

Willie Dixon

Those are some great pics Capt!
nice horse too!  Looks like a beut!

I always did like the prairie twist, but it doesn't have any speed advantages though does it?

I don't think so  :D

I do it for the style points  ;D

Willie Dixon

Nice! LOL
it definitely does that!  Too bad SASS frowns on anything other than the normal strong sided draw.  everything else requires a "dance" of some sort, which I don't mind, but still.  I do love the Doc Holliday style dual cross draws and Charlie Prince's prairie twists!

I have worn my pistols butt-forward for some time now.  I have experienced no speed advantage, nor any speed disadvantage (remember though, the RO's usually time me with a sundial).  It does help considerably when you're drawing long-barreled pistols.

Its also great to be able to draw either pistol with either hand.  When cross-drawing a butt-forward/straight-hang pistol, btw, if you do it right there's no need for the dance.  The following pics were made before I switched to my brace of NMA's:

I have a question about your tack if you dont mind.
Do you have a hobble on your girts.

Great photos, pards. I love that last one, Daniel. Very authentic. If that was a tin type, it could pass for an original. Cool action pic on that first one, Don. It could be right out of the 1800's, too, other than the cameras of that era wouldn't catch that kind of action. Outstanding to both of you. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Daniel, that does look awesome!  Good enough for NCOWS original class as far as I'm concerned.
