Pards, I just found this yesterday and I'm torn between jumping at it right now and thinking, "Sounds too good to be true." I want a '51 Navy that's a shooter. I only found one post about BP Stuff and it was just talking about new pics, no other information. So I'm coming to you Lords of Soot to ask what you know and think about it. Who's had experience dealing with these guys and how was it?

Get outta here! That's too cool! Well, what happened is I found a Pietta '51 Navy that I had checked carefully and found to be a good one at Regimental Quartermaster in Gettysburg. I put it on layaway for the same price you offer the Cowboy Action Special. Obviously you have a great deal there. I've sent an e-mail to RQ to let them know about it and ask for my deposit back.

So tell me, can you do this work on a Pietta Remington New Model Navy .36 caliber too? A Euroarms one would be even better.

Yes, this work can be done on whatever cap n ball revolver you'd like.  Perhaps this discussion should be continued via email.  you can get me at bpstuffllc@sbcglobal.net .

My 51's from Tom at BP stuff are awesome.  the treso niples look really cool - almost like brass nipples.

I would try them out this weekend but due to recent sugery I am not going to be able to.  Might be able to bust some caps in them at least!!

Major 2, I've been there before and I'll be back too! There's something about these old thumb buster guns that I can't resist.

Pony Racer, Tresos look like brass but they're not, they're a beryllium alloy. Very tough metal and almost immune to corrosion. An entire firearm made of it would still be around for your great-great-great-grandchildren to shoot, but you'd have spent a fortune to buy it in the first place.  ;D

Deadguy,

I wondered iff'n that was your company.  It got me wonderin' when I saw the photo of the Walker you put together with the attack mosquito next to it and I remembered the thread you started in the Open Top forum with that same picture.  I will be placing an order soon.  I need some roundballs and wads.

I got the TRESOs for my "new" Colt Dragoon, and they sure looked cool!  After I shot them, it discolored the metal and now they look kinda blackish.  I suppose that I could take 'em out and scrub 'em with steel wool or a 3M pad, but I'll settle for clean - they don't have to be gold.
