Help PLEASE

 :)Howdy Pards,
I am putting toghter a pair of Slim Jims for a the 1860 Colt Army Revoler with 7 1/2 barrel, just wanted to make them, I knew were there was a gun to use to mold with, he sold it!
Only thing I got close I think is my 72's but there short barrels, if I mock up longer barrels and a ram rod, I was going to use 2 dif dowel rods, you think I can get close? If i could stand up long enough, i could build one out of wood! And that is something, i might start doing a little at a time, building mock guns, because I have a super complete wood shop!
I know that is the dumbest question I have allmost ask. If you guys think that wouldn't get close, i will go on a hunt!

I know the guys have posted mock gun places before in here. You might search and see what comes up.
There could definitely be something to making them out of wood, though!

Do you just need a pattern ( I can send you two of mine ) or the gun itself to mold ?

I have an aluminum casting of an 1860 with a 7 1/4" barrel. If that will do I can send it to you for a while, I also have a real gun to use for molding for myself, so no great hurry getting it back to me. I've got to make me some of that dye myself for the Slim Jims I am making for my Opentops.  Where did you get the Walnut shells?
