Howdy. You gents that are fortunate enough to have a chronograph, have you checked the speed of 45 Schofields loaded with 150 gr EPP-UG, and a full case of Goex 2F???
Thanks. DM

I don't know, but now that you mentioned it, I should test my Schofields with teh 160 gr. 45 Slim boolit this weekend at the shoot.

Sgt. Jake

   Not a 45 S&W but out of a 7 1/2' with the Cowboy45Special 18.0 grs. of Goex ff g / EPP?UG Avg. 903 fps. The only 45S&W I had loaded up were with J/P 200.      Adios  Sgt. Jake

Howdy Jake,

That's near to what I'm gettin' out of my ROAs with 7-1/2" barrels, Kirst Konverters and C45Spl brass.  I'm running FFFg and that maybe explains why I'm getting closer to 960 fps.

This bullet also shoots great out of my 1860 open top conversions.  With the ling 8" barrels it runs right along with the ROAs for speed.  For reasons I haven't learned yet, probably my sight pattern, the ROAs are slightly more accurate for me.

The EPP-UG also turns up a very respectable performance in my little Thompson Center Seneca 45cal front stuffer.  Loaded over 30 grains of FFFg it's a tack driver with near zero recoil.  It's my bunny dispatcher around the ranch.

Well, I shot them at theCornhusker State Games this weekend, and they worked pretty darn good. Shot very well out of my 4 5/8" Rugers. Used both the 200 grainers and the 150s, and couldnt tell too much difference while shooting gunfighter. Shooting traditionally, they seemed to be the ticket. DM
