Hallmark used to show more old TV shows. Wish they'd come back (Rawhide comes to mind...)

I watched "Hard Ground" last night on Hallmark channel and they were advertising Rough and Rowdy month again which means they'll be showing a bunch of westerns. I hope they show "The Johnson County Wars" again, I need to burn that one.

The title when it was made was the "The Pledge" it was renamed "The Gunfighters Pledge" for the Hallmark airing

Is it a remake of John Waynes "The Pledge"?
According ta the guide it looks like I missed the only showing they had planned for a month or so

Hallmark certainly doesn't beat their original movies into the ground, but I figured they'd at least show it a few times this week. Heck AMC procuces one and it's all they play fer 30 days straight.

I thought I saw where they were going to re-air it again this week...thursday night? Anyway I watched it and have to say that it was pretty good. I've been trying to recall where I've see that ranch house before...I know its been used in something that I've seen. For some reason it seems like it may have even have been in a old oater in black and white at one time as well. Anyway I hope Hallmark keeps coming up with the westerns.

I thought this movie was, well, a 2 on a 5 point scale with fair production values, less than stellar acting by everyone, and weak plot. I recorded it on my TIVO thinking I would burn it later. That is not going to happen as IMHO it is not worth the cost of the DVDs.

I saw it and that's two hours of my life I'll never get back. C. Thomas Howells performance was almost laughable and far too melodramatic, borderline Snidely Whiplash and far from coniving or menacing. Luke Perry was his wooden and apathetic self, as always. The motivation of most of the secondary characters was uncertain at best and not at all well defined, not too mention some pretty shoddy gun handling by many of them.

To think I could have spent the time doing something more enjoyable, like going to the dentist,
