When you sign up for the forum you have to view and agree to the rules of the forum before you are allowed to continue to register.  I think that it's a good idea to read back over them every now and then to remind ourselves of the few rules of this great place called CAS City.

Howdy!

You agree, through your use of the Cas City Forum Hall, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. Legal actions can be taken against you, if you post this material.

Being a cowboy action shooters is also and partly about roleplaying. Some live out their roles also on this forum. Please be advised that there might be a borderline on this and be always on alert that there are those that might misunderstand expressions and choice of words.

You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and non-topic solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.

COMMERCIAL POSTINGS
Cas City is a community and a website that is provided as a resource of information and promotion of our sport. Cas City Vendors (advertisers) support and contribute financially to make this site available to you. The same goes for the contribution from owners of the site and moderators who spend a lot of their free time to maintain the forum.
This support would not last long if we allowed others to post commercial messages, thus undermining the paid advertising of those that make this site available. Our advertising rates are very moderate and there are no reason to try to take advantage of our forum by trying to post outside the scopes of the guidelines below.

If you sell products or services, part time or full time, the following rules apply, except directly to site advertisers and sponsors:

Do not initiate posts or discussion on or refer to your business.
Do not discuss product pricing or availibility of products.
It is acceptable to use your company's web site address as the Home Page URL in your profile. You may also have a link to your web site in your signature, but no banners or graphics are allowed.
Advertising or soliciting for any activity that may be construe as commercial is not allowed.
Any vested interest in a company, product, or service must be disclosed. If you receive products or services for free or at a discounted rate, you must publicly disclose this when you post regarding those products or services and/or competitors. Any type of vested interest that could cause for a biased opinion must be disclosed.

Posts outside the scope of these rules may be edited or deleted without warning. Continued disregard for these rules may result in removal from the forum. If you have any questions about commercial postings, contact Marshal H.

Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on this forum. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages on a daily basis and are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of this forum. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify the administrators or moderators of this forum immediately.

DISCLAIMER RELOADING:  We allow members the exchange of reloading ideas, techniques and loads. However, under NO circumstances does the publication of any specific load(s) on the board indicate a recommendation of data published. The caution(s) mentioned in the reloading manuals of starting 10% below any recommended load(s) and working your way up apply in spades! Both experienced and inexperienced reloaders, PLEASE consult the available commercial reloading manuals. It is easy to make mistakes when typing, so view any data published in a post with common sense and suspicion... If it doesn't sound right, it probably isn't! CasCity.com assumes NO responsibility for any loads published.
****************
We have the rights to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy goes for member profile information as well.
****************
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, and any related websites to this forum. We at CasCity.com also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any information we have about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any information posted by you.
****************
You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username and to use your alias in SASS and other shooting organizations. We advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.
****************
After you register and log into Cas City Forum Hall, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or vulgar will be removed.
****************
Please note that with each post, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement.
****************
Actions that will be taken when in violation of forum rules are as follows:

1. Warning...
This is where a non public announcement (PM) is made to a member advising him or her to follow the forum rules and reestablish a conduct and communication that is representative for our community.
When a warning is considered, it will also be determined whether the member knew what he was doing was wrong or whether a warning is necessary to explain it do him. After this is considered, we may skip ahead to the next step on the action list.

2. Temporary muting ....
This is where the member will not  be able to post on the forum or send PMs for a certain period of time. Call it a cooling off period and a time to read the rules, rethink their actions and get themselves back on track. The member may still log on and read posts. If this action has been taken, the member will see a notification on the forum when logged in.

4. Banning....
If it is obvious that the person will never respect the rules, a permanent ban is necessary.

****************

Well, that's enough of pistolwhippin' warnings. Our intention is solely that your stay here on this forum is fun and rewarding.

Hello,

My first topic was deleted. I thought it was a "public service" type issue. I did not receive a reason why. Seems that should be SOP.

Regards,

Allie Mo

Camille Eonich

Allie it used to be SOP and then it got to where it was more trouble to inform people why their post was pulled than it would have been to just moderate the posts and either which was the person that pulled the post was a forum nazi.

I took a few clues from the SASS wire and just started quietly removing the posts and saying nothing else about it.  Works best that way most of the time.

When someone is banned, they would not have any advance notice about their transgressions with this policy.

and either which was the person that pulled the post was a forum nazi.
I'm not sure what you mean by this.

If a moderator is considered a forum Nazi, that person should be accountable. It is part of the job that they can't please all of the people all of the time. However, if the posters consider that their post was pulled or edited unfairly, I think they should know why it was pulled so they can discuss it with the moderator(s).

Respectfully submitted,

Moderators a have file where Mod deleted posts go for storage. It's called "The Outhouse "  :-*

I went to review your first post, it was deleted Because it was headed into a inflamitory piss'n' match.

I know of no fairer Moderator than Camille, she has bent over backwards where several of the rest of us
have reached the end of our tolerence for "certain" posters.  ::)

Want a LIST ?  ;)

Allie you don't get a transgression for having your posts pulled and if you do something wrong you will get notified.  There haven't been many people banned here on CAS City but believe me the ones that have been got ample notification and were well aware that they were yanking chains.  ;)
