Winning a Six Shooter in a Poker Game?

Basically that's what happened though I had to visit the gun shop the next day after playing.
Thanks to a really good night playing Texas Hold'em at the casino in Biloxi Mississippi, I won enough in one hand to purchase my Stampede.

So the dealer says, I ended up walking away with the largest pot of the night mostly because of dumb luck by drawing into to a Full House on the River (last) card while the whole time staring at a small straight laid out from the flop and knowing that at least two people on the table had their straight while a third was bragging that he had a flush...  Like I said all dumb luck.  I sat there with my little Two Pairs of 9's & 10's looking at an 8,9,10 on the flop then followed by the Jack and after the longest few minutes of my life, finally another 10.

Why I even stayed in is a mystery to me?  I know how to play poker and you don't stay in holding out for a boat with only two pairs to go on.  But I did and even though the hand took everyone at the table by surprise, including me, the game was not so friendly after that!!! Now I understand why in the movies so many card tables get thrown across the room? haha...

So as a result of luck and stupidity, (always had the stupidity) I was able to buy my Six Shooter!
I figured it was a colorful way to end up with a gun.

It is a good story.  Congrats.  I usually play like that when it's gettin' late.  Course this isn't with anything at stake (computer based!)

I've got my excuses and I'm stickin' to 'em.

Good point but I think the casino would toss me on my can if I sat down in the poker room then slapped my 45 on the table proclaiming "Ok fellas let's play some poker"? haha...

There actually use to be a sign at the front door to "Check your weapons in with security"  the first time I did that with my off duty revolver the little office girl  just about had heart failure!
