I just got these delivered from the little brown truck yesterday and wanted to show them off.  They had to be custom-made becasue I wear a 14EEE!!  But now that I've got 'em and been wearing them around home (to break them in of course!!), I can't wait to try them out at the next shoot.  They are about as comfortable as slippers.  They're made from buffalo hide top to bottom, with a triple layer of hide on the sole.  They aren't hard soled boots, but they should keep my feet from getting tired.

What does anyone think of 'em?

Joyce (AnnieLee)

Wow, nice boots, IROT!! How are they for walking on gravel?

The triple thick buffalo hide does a real nice job of taking the sharp edges off of the gravel, Annie.  It feels kinda like walking on smooth, river rocks...only not slippery.  I might not fair so well over really sharp boulders, but for the range, they shoudl be great.

Four-Eyed Buck

I was wondering about that myself, Annie...................Buck 8) :-\ :)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Yep, us flatfooted guys have a problem finding boots in the "row boat" widths. Those look nice. Here is a link of a moc maker that does wide widths also.

I was gonna say my wife has a pair like those but I put bells on them so she couldn't sneak up on me.
All America lies at the end of the wilderness road, and our past is not a dead past, but still lives in us. Our forefathers had civilization inside themselves, the wild outside. We live in the civilization they created, but within us the wilderness still lingers. What they dreamed, we live, and what they lived, we dream. -- T.K. Whipple

El Peludo

Good lookin' set of mocs.  I found that after a few times of wearing mine, the stones started to be felt more sharply through the soles; the soles soften with wearing.  I got a set of the hardest Dr. Scholl's I could find, and a set of gel insloes; put the hard ones in first, then the gels on top.  Works really well.

The Arapaho Kid

Good lookin' LPC's (Leather Personnel Carriers).  I've found that Mocs and wet weather don't get along so well together...and...living in the Pacific Northwest....I KNOW wet weather!  Iffen ya get 'em wet...let 'em dry natural.  Don't be putting them on boot dryers.  That'll hose them up royally.

Yeppers good looking mocs, you going to shoot in them?

Now you have a reason to get youself another shootin outfit so you'll have something that goes with the boots.

Well, I wore 'em shooting yesterday.  Not a match, but practice.  Yepppppp, they be mighty comfortable.  As for gamey.....(Miz Shell-E ;)), well we'll see if my scores improve.  My disposition probably will since my feet won't be so sore after a match.

Major Matt Lewis

I thought that you were doing the cavalry thing?

Yep, those boots look really good.  With the soft soles, be careful of brass sticking up; don't want to take chunks out of the boot or your foot.
