Not as simple as DD's but I had a bigger cart before and got tired of horsing it around. I saw a cart Howdy made from a jogging stroller and thought this would a great idea...but a used one still cost over $100 and then I'd have to tear it apart and rebuild it. So I tore the old one apart and used the pieces to make an easier to haul cart. The handles come off with wingnuts and still holds 2 rifles and 2 shotguns. I made a place on the back to hang some holsters to put the 6 guns up once and a while.

This looks real nice , are you going to put a box in the front or just leave it empty so you can carry diffirent items , like a cooler, one things for sure you might be able to beat everyone else to the next stage , it has that fast gun slinger look to it, kind of like having the fastest horse in town... ??? ::) :o 8)

You did good pard, thanks for sharing :D

4IF, that's a good design.  I like DD's fold-up, travel light design, and I like your 3 wheeler approach.  I've been thinkin' 4 wheeler but would rather push than pull.

You & DD have given me some very good ideas.  Thanks to you both.  Back to the drawing board...

Dang!! ;D ;D  I knew that there was a reason that I liked my two gun category so much!  Don't have to worry bout no cart!  Leaves more room for furniture and clothes! ::) :o ;D ;D  As Ms. Lou would say ya can't have too many clothes or too much ammunition! ;D ;) ;D

I've had several CAD artists volunteer to bring my design to something easily downloadable and buildable.  I expect lots of variations, but that's the nature of our sport.  After all, we are individuals in the truest sense.

To all that offered help reducing my vision to paper, THANK YOU!

I can think in 3D, but I can't draw for sh.t.

Hey guys! To answer some questions, yes there is a box that will be behind the front wheel. the last box I had could carry enough ammo for a small war, to hard to pick up for very long. This one will be just big enough to hold enough for 7-12 stages. the handles come off to transport. The picture here is of the cart just after staining it. I will have a final picture tomorrow. I also find it is easier to push this through muddy fields than a 2 wheel cart and it fits in my toyota Solara trunk.

Thank both of you for sharing your carts, I need to make one I can get in the car, my Truck sucks too much gas to be traveling to the matches.  DD your right there will be a bunch of variations.

My car is smallish and my big cart fit since it had fold down handles. The one I showed you now fits in my trunk (the old one I had to put my seats in the back down and slid it in).  8)

I hate it too so I'm making one that will avoid it too. Mine uses an antique feed sack dollie a box and a removeable rack higher on the handles.

I get double duty out of it 'cause when I'm not using it for gun handling I can use it for moving furnature. Being an antuque and all, 'spose it'd get NCOWS approval?

The trick, to me, is gettin' away from sweepin' myownself with my own guns.  There's a pretty end on my guns and an ugly end.  I like to be on the pretty end and pointn' the ugly end at varmints that need hot lead pronto.

Drawings coming.  Hang Um High first.  Gotta kill steel and keep good company this weekend.

Pitspitr, I have that exact same cart. Thought about using it for a guncart, but wow, its heavy already! DM

You're right it is heavy! but I can take the box off pretty easily to load or unload. Once it's on the ground I think of it more like a mobile rack.

Well here is my new one in use. Takes about 5 minutes to put the handle on and pushes like a dream. Still needs some tweaks. The whole thing only weighs a little more than a couple of guns.  ;D The box holds enough Ammo to cover about 7 stages maybe 10.  8)

I'm always lookin' for a place to sit; can't stand that long without the posture goin' all to hell.  Looks like you can sit on the box and straddle the wheel.  What's in the background?  I saw a cart that had the long guns enclosed in a mini bookcase.  High enough to rest his elbows and coffee on.  Did you ever fiddle with putting the front wheel on a pivot?  Not necessary or didn't make any difference?  Three wheeler looks promising.
