Hold that thought!  I'm not even Scandinavian, much less Norwegian, but I like Lutefisk.  If it's prepared right...it's good!  I don't like the stink when they brining, or lying it, but after that's done and it's cooked...it's good!  They do another thing over there, I think in Denmark, where they put fish in cans and it basically ferments and they leave it set for a while, then eat it.  I would try this if they did it here.  The only thing I have found out about Scandinavian food is...it's kind of bland.  Not very spicey.  I gt my first taste of Pannukakku about three years ago and I fell in love with them.  Add a little lemon juice and they are YUMMY!

Its call'd "surströming" and its made in sweden. As a matter of fact its made right where i live ;D

The smell..... think outhouse on a hot summer day :-X
The taste..... kind'a salty, quite good accuatly
