Little Al, are you sure no one has ready-made replacement stocks? What make and model is the shotgun? Maybe someone knows a place to get new wood for it. Lodgewood Mfg www.lodgewood.com, S&S Firearms www.ssfirearms.com, or Numrich Gun Parts www.e-gunparts.com might have something you can use.

Someone ought to fly to Oz and smack that wiseguy Aussie upside the haid.

It's an

F Dumoulin & Cie    Liege

marked shotgun... 16 GA hammer double with Black powder proof marks but no smokeless mark.  Steel (not Damascus) barrels.

Haven't been able to find much about it online except for the Belgian proof marks...Simple but pretty well made - still nice and tight...I would think it's a "few" years old...got from Simpsons online from a tip I received on the forum here when I asked where to find a hammer 16.

It's at a gunsmith now being checked out and having a few minor things tweaked...

The stock is in fairly good condition but I would like to get rid of the cheekpeice and add about 3/4" to the pull (which I could do with a recoil pad but I'm not a fan of those on shotguns)...

Any help identidying would be welcomed as well as the stock info...

Thanks!

Well - half a world, for one thing!  And some pride, too!  ;)

Have you had to dodge many bullets, yet?
