OT,  You need to try some turkey fries!  We had a private club in Guymon, Okla. that served them as appitizers. Battered and fried and served with a sauce that tasted like Heinz 57 sauce. They were about the size of your thumb and they sold them by the dozen.  Man, were they good, especially with a cold beer.

I like Cajun Food also.  The Gumbo is prolly my favorite. I like Crawfish, I just don't like to bite off the heads and suck out the brains. I'll leave that to the CAJUNS!

Place in KC called Jazz that offered up a HUGE platter of the things as an appetizer with garlic butter.  Some a the best eatin I ever had.

I've seen a few of them folks eatin crawfish and it looked to me that they bit the heads off and swallowed them. I never saw anyone spit anything out.  These folks appeared to be intoxicated so they might not care one way or the other.

Peel and eat those boiled  shrimp! Lots of cocktail sauce(horseradish and tabasco included) and lots of cold Bud light.  Arcey, have you tried any of the new Bud Light with lime. Sounds like a waste of good Bud. I don't know if I will try any. I'm a purist when it come to Bud.

I haven't tried it either, TLD, or the Miller one. Not sure I want to, I have tried a couple of Leinenkugel's lemon flavored summer beers, one wasn't too bad. Sunset Wheat was the one I liked, I believe, the Summer Shandy, I didn't..........Buck 8) ::) ;)

I'm not much of a Miller drinker. It gives me a headache. We have a Miller Brewery in Fort Worth next to a large bakery. All we need is an Oscar Meyer hotdog plant.

Never say Kolachies around a real Czech, they are Kolach or Kolatchi (plural)  The other is a double plural, I'm an honorary Czech so I know, also the really good ones use goose grease for shortening, several old Czech Grandma's have told me that one. ;D

Tex, I ain't seen the Bud with lemon. Don't think I want it. The l'il I drink Corona I do put lime in.

What I want ta try when the weather gets warm is some of Mike's Hard Lemonade. I really enjoy lemonade on a hot day. Might not like Mike's thinkin' it might be too sweet but there's one way ta find out. Ain't sure if it's at the grocery or at the ABC stores. Virginia is strange when it comes to who can sell what.

In Kansas they have "party supply" stores if ya want anything more than three two beer.  Gomers is the big chain an they sell a huge variety of cocktail olives stuffed with just about anythin ya can think of.  I liked the habeneo kind, but most a the locals couldn't take the heat :o
Funny thing is ya can't buy yer smokes there--have ta go next door.

Oklahoma is somewhat like kansas, in that you can only buy 3.2 in the grocery stores.  If you want 6.0 you have to go to a liquor store to to gett it. Back in the late 60's, they only had the 6.0 hot at the liquor stores.
