Last Monday I shot in my first Match . I'm almost 60 years old  and just getting started . But Bioy I felt like I was 15. What a rush . Nervous as old heck but managed to get through it all . AND I placed 11 out of 12 shooters . I'm on a roll .
I 'd like to say the fun is the thing but it is neck and neck with the grub!! ::) ::)

Way to go, Dutchy!!

Yep, have to admit the adrenalin and all that fresh air sure makes the grub mighty tasty. We get fed stuff out of iron pots a lot, so that adds iron to our blood, causes us to act younger. . . ::)

All I did was name it 'n get it started. The posse made it great. A debt I can never repay. Thank you, mi amigos.

It was a great time , you know I shot with other ex LEO's , a Judge , a mechanic , several woodsmen  , a PHd. . And we all had one thing in common .
Have a good time , play safe and enjoy.

I have read on this site about the sharing and enjoyment of the shoot, to see it first hand was a great expierence.
No one missed a stage because of lack of ammo , or a downed gun. It was just natural to help out , no questions , no hesitation.
The serious competitors never looked down on those of us who were just happy to finish the round . Everyone was there to support and help out .
There certainly was the oblivious heckling and good natured fun but not a harsh word spoken

I wish that feeling would spill over to everyday life .
Sure be a different world

Thanks to you all . Living the dream and loving ever minute of it

Black Powder

Good for you Dutchy.  I know it's been a rough week with the loss of your friend.  I'm sure you'll feel Coop right there with you at future shoots.

         Howdy Dutchy  :D ;D

Well spoken pard, you just described CAS in a few sentences, I think this is how most of us feel about Cowboy Action Shooting, you can't beat the fun , or being around good pards like you find in the forum or at the shoots.

tEN wOLVES,

Good friends and good pards are what CAS is!!!  Getting ready to experience both at the NCOWS Nationals the first week in June.  We [posse pards] will leave Monday 6/2 and help set up the range and then do a lot of shooting.  Can hardly wait.  Been loading last week and finished up all my ammo this morning.  Got to get to the laundry and packing. ;D

WE are so lucky to have CAS City to jaw on and learn so much!!  Thanks Marshal H.!!!!!
