38 hollow base mold
« on: May 16, 2008, 02:38:30 PM »
Hey Pards!!!

Where can I find a 38 flat point hollow base mold?
It's for a RM conversion of course.

Thanks

T.S.-
Here's a link to Old West Bullet Moulds. Call Bernie and see what he can do for you. I have one of the heeled moulds for my (conversion kit yet undelivered) R&D conversion 1851. Very nice mould and they cast great, might get one of his hollow based ones sometime too. Anyway, give Bernie a holler and he'll help you out.

I bought one of these from him and couldn't be happier...well made brass mold that, once it's hot, turns out a great bullet!  Mine is a nose pour semi-rounded but I am sure a flat nose is availible.

I load it in a 38 Long Colt case with 15 gr of 3F and it has been accurate out to 50 yds...farther than that and I grab my rifle   ;)

You won't be making a mistake with Bernie!
