I'm still with it, the girls went to bowling. The freeze line is still north of us so far. and yes, we've got one of those old fashioned connected by a wire phones hooked up right by my 'puter desk. We were more ready for this one, might have scared it of.......Buck 8) ::) ;D

Susie went out this afternoon and picked up some other stuff including some chili fixin's. So I made up a pot of chli........YUM!!!!We also got a new dryer today so I've been being a good house husband and running laundry. Our sons picked the old one up this evening. Susie got lucky last night...NO, not that way......She won $750 at bingo, so she's been spreading it around :o ::)Still learning the new controls on that dryer, times are running differently than the old one so I've got to adjust a little and it took longer this time............Buck 8) ::) ;D

Good ta hear from ya pard.  some folks ferget ta have an old hard wire phone in this day and age.  A friend lost power in the May 22 tornado mess.  He didn't have a hard wire phone and his son seen the picture on TV of the tornado on his corner and could not get a hold of him.  He now has a hard wire phone.

We got hit really hard again about 3pm, 'looks like about 10" here, not much but it is blowin' bad, "suppossed to be done about 12am and -10 tonite.  Not really, bad but dangerous if yer not careful.

Oh to prepare fer yer next store I found this, uses the same kerosene as yer heater, might be useful.

I ordered me one this afternoon.  Might even be handy when campin'.  Good ta hear it's still North of ya.

If you clicked on the specs window of the home page you would find that it will burn only 1 pint of coal oil for normal work for 12 hours of online time and it burns 2 pints in 12 hours for porno sites. :D :D   5-6 pumps per hour will keep it up and runnin' but a adapter thats uses a CO2 catridges is avallible for $9.98. ;D ;D ;D ;D

At the moment the freeze line is about 7 miles north of us now running about dead center through the middle of Canton. we also have flood warnings for the Nimisilla creek running along St. Rt. 800 about three miles east of us. there's also flood warnings for the Tuscarawas river running through Massillon and a little further south to Navarre. first time for that area since 1969. there's a trailer park along the creek and they've been hit hard several times in the last two years. so far so good for us. We're warm, reasonably dry( dogs go out every couple hours, have to be leashed) and not out of coffee. Don't have to go anywhere if we don't want to. the birds were at the feeders this afternoon. quite a few doves, luckily no deer, otherwise we'd have to go out and refill them. Guess there are some positives about being retired. wife and sis-in-law are talking FLA. about March for a visit to one of sis's friends in the Tampa area, might have to seriously think about that one................Buck 8) ::) ;D

-6 in Lincoln wheh I came to work an hour ago, sun shine, 10 inches of snow and no wind beutiful.   Went out and started the car and my neighbor cleaned it off while he was doin' his. :)

Got to work and the snow had got in the furnace and melted.  Manned the pumps, mop and buckets, all done and drips are now goin' in the buckets, nothin' wet but the floor. ;D

Buck are ya still in Ohio or did ya float down the river on a block of ice? ;)
