Shot Starrs, Walker, and Remmy today-- Starr tuning ??

And shot the match clean!!!! but dirty if you know what I mean....
Shot the Starrs for 1st 3 stages, then switched to a Walker and 58 Remmy. All ran well, but one Starr is starting to have a hiccup. Does anyone know any tips on tuning them???
Also used moosemilk for first time. I gotta tell ya, that is awesome stuff!

If you are comfortaable with it, completely disassemble the Star and thoroughly clea all the parts.  Then inspect them and look for any worn, broken, or damaged pieces.  It could be something as simple as a cap fragment somewhere in the action....

I am very comfortable with that part. Just wondered if there were any little tricks. I think its actually on the ratchet of the cylinder. Every 6 pulls of the hammer, I get a little bind. TOnites agenda, tear apart and clean. DM

I had a Starr SA and it would "vapor lock" regularly. Luckily, I have an NCOWS buddy who has originals and has worked on them. He said it was the nature of the beast with Starr revolvers so I dumped it. Also, you can't load the cylinder on a stand due to its design. The Starr is cool for style points but worthless for duty IMO. Just my two cents.

I wouldnt say worthless for duty. I have shot mine in a few matches, and havent had any major issues. Even the hiccup I have now doesnt affect much other than I have to pull the hammer again. And that sure wont make me want to get rid of it. My walker jammed tight yesterday for 1 round but a quick other hand cylinder spin cured that. DM
