Error drilling barrel for front gun sight (Problem solved)

It has been fixed. Fortunately I have a great gunsmith friend that shows me how to fix the mistakes I make from time to time.

How did you fix it?

I use the same drill and drilled the hole completely through the wall, removed the burrs from the bore and re-installed my sight using the same hole.  As long as the bolt didn't extend into the bore I was fine.  This advise was from a VERY competent gunsmith.

Thanks, that is what I thought but wanted to see if someone had a magical cure for the hole.  I have several old guns that the old timey gunsmiths drilled through the barrel when shortening the barrel and adding a new sight.
