Now that looks familiar.  Yours is better equipped than mine, but it has a familiar (comfortable) level of clutter.

A small part of my library: The top two and a half shelves are all books on Custer and the LBH fight.

That, my friend, is my dream room. I love the furnishings, not to mention the firearms and decorations!

Dead I

Thank you, Dirty Brass.  I've lived in the West and Midwest and for 65 years I've haunted old junk stores and collected stuff.  I sit up there and read all day long, and fiddle with this damn machine.  It makes me comfortable to be surrounded by these old guns and books.  I'm happy as a clam at high tide in that room. My wife walks in there and just rolls her eyes.

Actually my gun room is quite small, a safe. I can't put anything out in a room in the hose as it is full of dead animals.  However, I do display at gunshows...

I've just looked over this thread again and I'm blown away by some of you guys' collections.  Just fantastic.  When I was about four my dad took me to the Boot Hill Museum and cemetery in Dodge City. There was a square hole in the floor and at the bottom was a skeleton.  My dad called me over to look at it, and when I peeked down into that opening (covered with glass) my hair stood straight up!  I recall it like it was yesterday.  There were many old west guns on the walls and in cases.  At that moment I became infected with the old gun disease.  It has been nearly fatal.  The guns, their history, and shooting them is as much fun as this old man has today.  I also like model trains, airplane models, books about flying, westerns and old record players.  I used to wonder when I'd grow up.  Now that I'm creeping up on 70 I know when I'm going to grow up....it ain't a gonna happen.

Oh me oh my!  That is sad!!!  Years ago I came home and found my front door kicked open and many wonderful old guns were gone.  A wonderful 72 trapdoor carbine, a very nearly minty Spencer, an absolutely new but old Maynard, my cased Navy Colt, and a great 76 Winchester.  I miss the 76 most, but they were all great guns. I lost my granddad's Model 11 shotgun and a bunch of newer guns too.

But a fire!  That's just horrible too.  You lose everything. I'm sorry it happened to you.

Major 2

I did lose a TTN SXS and 6 boxes of AA Target loads and brick of 22 Long Rifle
My Clay pigeon flyer and 4 cans of BP not all were full though.

All my other guns are in the safe in the House ( the building was detached  )

I lost all my long list of power tools & hand tools ,my leather working tools and side of leather.
also 3 saddles & tack and some holsters   :-\

I had just bought the AA loads  ::) and the neighbors  :o (acres away) were quite alarmed with the cook offs.

Okay, I finally got some pictures taken on my Bat Cave (Wife says I'm batty enough to qualify), and emailed them to myself.  Now, I know it's been covered more than a few times, but how do I link them to this site from an iMac using Juno email?  (Use small, one syllable words.  I don't speak computer.)
