Sorry fer Your loss, they is good dogs. They can work or heard almost anything.  Some of them do have funny eyes, one blue and one brown.
My friend in SF had one named Soda, he could bring in the right paper, and bring slippers for each of the family member, He knew the diference and would bring the appropriate pair.
He was a truly amaizing dog.

He died 3yrs ago of avanced age N arthritus.
