Try 9 years....My bed roll is more comfortable...I have had better nites sleep on a saddle pad<<<<<many nites.  I am absoulutely sure the Lazy Boy is laced with (spell) Trip ta phen. I don't dare sit down in it. Unless I deserve a nap...I deserve one

Hey a good bedroll is comfertable.  I don't know what matteress that is my wife bought that she likes so well, but when I can't get comfertable I drage out my 5X7 bottom quilt out of my bedroll and lay on it on that matteress.  Works fine for me.

You sure you ain't from Texas I would think 5X7 would be big enough for any man. Then maybe what I call a bedroll, you are actually making a cowboy tepee? Yes?
Mine is big enough to accompany a sleeping pad, a sleeping bag, an extra wool blanket and some dry socks and undies. rolled up an placed on top a sawbuck or decker saddle. Some say you shouldn't top pak a decker, but it'll fit why waste the space.

Right now it's a bottom quilt, 5X7 wool on one side, flannel on the other, pieced on flannel and wool blakets sewn for battion.  Their is a cotton plus cotton with wool blanket battion and a wool cotton with cotton battin' and a couple of more under constrution.  Plus a larget 12X9 canvas tarp and a feather pillow.  I'm gettin' softer than I used to be.
