My brace of Open Tops
« on: March 29, 2008, 11:08:30 AM »
Got my Richards Type II back from Cimarron. Thought I would share a picture of all my Open Tops. They are all Uberti exept the 1861, it is Pietta. From the top: 1860 Army, Richards Type II, RM, 71 Open Top, and 61 Navy with Kirst. Thinking about purchasing the ejector rod from Kirst for the 61.

I don't imagine Colt had 'fashion' or style experts lending a hand in the design of their revolvers, but they sure look like they did. They made the sleekest revolvers and the 1873 isn't an ugly duckling either. Nice guns. I will be shooting a pair of 1860 Colt Armys as soon as the 28 cooling off period ends (hell, I got 20 odd pistols, I don't need to cool off! I'm there already! The law is an ass as they used to say).

Nice guns! Thanks, Mick.
All my cowboy gun's calibres start with a 4! It's gotta be big bore and whomp some!
