You know, I never thought it was posible to miss fast enough to win in any shooting sport until I got involved in CAS.

As much as I hate to have to say it, you're pretty dang good, Russ T. :D

Don't know if he ever actually said it, but that's what he claimed he said when he wrote about the incident in his book.

Capt. and Russ where did you find that one?  The stories I heard and read on JWH didn't ever put me in mind of someone that cared about hurtin another. I serched it via the internet never got a nibble.

I think Russ T won the Cowboy Jepordy dail double with that one

Wouldn't give old Russ T a whole lot of credit, since he was there when all this stuff was going on and he should be able to answer these questions without any trouble. ;)

Got it from his (Hardin's) book The Life Of John Wesley Hardin As Written By Himself.  The next couple of sentences following the one in question are:

"He was sitting at the table and shook his head and frowned.  He then dropped his knife and fork and grabbed his pistol.  As he did it, I told him to throw up his hands.

"When he got his pistol out, I fired at him across the table and he fell over a dead man, the ball hitting him square in the center of the forehead."

litl rooster, check out my last post to the Horse and Rider thread.

And just how do we know that's actually the face of a YOUNG Russ T?  Hows about giving us something to compare it with.  For all we know, Russ T might just be a figment.   Way "he" comes up with some of his answers makes me think he might be a computer what's gone wild.  Remember HAL? :D ;D

Thigh bones, then I think it would be more like shinned than shunned!

I do believe there is a progression of Russ T.s in my Citizen profile.  The avatar one is when I was only 5 (actually taken on my birthday).  The last one in the profile was two years ago at High Sierra.  By the way, I don't Google.
