Howdy folks,
    I just opened a flier from Edward R. Hamilton Bookseller Co.,and on
page 14 there's a book by Dennis Adler - Metallic Cartridge Conversions:
The History of the Guns. ERH pn# 6284728 for $12.95ea. Flier doesn't
say if it's hardbound or softbound,but the price is ok to me.

it's not the definitive work but that is one nice book.... regularly lists at $39.95...I though I did well a year or so ago for $24

You are thinking of the other book,  not the Adler book.

I just bought it for $9.99 at Half Price books in person a few months ago. The only thing I don't like is that Adler often "slips" in a modern conversion altered by Millington in place of an original.  ::)

You know, I noticed that about Adlers book also, but the guns are all so beautiful even if they are "reproductions".

I've had the opportunity to fondle several of Bob Millingtons guns.  The absolute Rolls Royce of conversions.  He does tham better than Colt did!!
