It seems as if the legendary mould maker Paul Jones now has a Spencer mould. FWIW, people say his moulds are without peer and for $160.00 w/o handles they should be!  :o ;)

It looks like a misprint on the weight. I'll bet it really is a 335 gr. & not 535 gr.  ;)

Fox Creek,

I contacted them and am waiting for a reply to your question on bullet weight.  I'll post what I find out.

C'mon Fox Creek, you can afford that mould ::) ::)

It looks like a copy of Larry Romano's Spencer bullet IMO.

Two Flints, I haven't even cast a slug yet from the DW two holer I bought last year.  :-[  I am really happy with the Rapine 350-T for CAS as you don't really need the full 45 gr. of FFg hitting the targets like an Abrams Tank!!  ;D ;)

I started using about 42-43 grains FFG 777 with the HRHW/DWM mold.  Very warm load.  Knocked over the target at the match.  Backed down to about 39-50 grainsss.  A little tsmer, but around the same as 45 grains Goex.

It does look like the Romano mold, just heavier. The base is thicker than on his mould.

Talked to Paul Jones & bullet weighs approx. 385 gr. and is for original groove 56-56, i.e., 0.520 something.  ;)

Thanks Fox Creek! for the information

Do you mean 56-50? 56-56 should be ~.535" - .540" diameter for an oringinal.

In which case does anyone know where I can get a mould for this

I have an original Ballard carbine that needs to be fired occasionally.
The "Darkside" means never having to see the targets you miss.

Call him. He didn't know offhand as he was sort of busy and the mould is new.
