maybe real maybe not original conversion cylinder

in my quest for a used conversion cylinder i have maybe stumbled upon a original . its at gunbroker.com just type conversion cylinder in there and youll see it . i just thought someone heremight be looking for a maybe original cylinder. by the way im still looking for and r&d or kirst in 44 for 1858 pietta.

Very interesting, . . hopefully someone with knowledge of original conversions will chime in on this.

I am NOT  knowledgeable of original conversions, but sure
looks to me like the cylinder has been hit by a rimfire
hammer.

I also hope someone chimes in with the right information.
Were is my friend Halfway creek Charlie?
I bet he would have a good idea.

The real job (showing horses) got in the way for a few days...........

The cylinder was a 45/46 rim fire.
This was an original chambering by Remington in their early conversions and they made brand new 5 shot cylinders like this one!
