It was last November I started popping off about a single shot shotgun. Finally scored on a Stevens 12 ga.
30 in barrel 2 3/4 chambers. Not real pretty but just right for my needs. A steady diet of brass shells is in
the agenda. Regards, TJ

TJ I think there are suppliers for the shorter shells in paper and plastic, if you want to go that route also. It sounds like you have a find. I have a single shot Montgomery Ward hammer gun with the worst looking blonde wood on it, but it shoots AAs just fine. I really should do something about the wood. :)

Those single pipe 12 ga scatterguns were way more common than the doubles.  In many ways, they were the guns that won the west.  East too.

I'd like to find a nice 10ga single pipe that doesn't weigh so much.  My 10ga SxS weighs over 12 pounds.  I think there's a mission in SASS for single pipe shotguns.  One thing for sure, you'll get real good at reloading on the clock. . . ;D
