I have a very good friend, he is a retired Marine Master Gunnery Sergent.
He is planning to attend a reunion of his unit at PISC the end of April.
The theme is western and he's thinking about dressing like Doc. Holiday.
John is in fact related to Holiday, but is not a really into our hobby... but likes to shoot.  I'm hoping to get him to shoot CAS
He has asked me to help find his kit.
I've mentioned WAH maker and some others....even a costume shop.

Now if anyone has some usable items.... John is about 6'  wears 34 pants and 42 long Coat , XL shirt

needed are a vest, coat, pants ,shirt....please send price & description or photo

I'd hook him up but I'm not his size....

Most - if not all - of his outfit can be found by looking through the local Thrift Shops.

There are several threads on this - both here and in the 'Historical Society' forum - and the underlying theme is how easy (and cheaply) you can put together a good ensemble with a bit of effort.

Since Holliday was a gambler - a man's formal dress shirt - with the pleats and studs - is perfect, and a retired senior NCO probably has one in the drawer.

Older, out of style,  high-waisted trousers can be found at the old, established tux rental shops, as can patterned vests

The list goes on...

Thanks...I sent him Buffalo's Wild West page.. Price and selection wise I think he'll do fine there.

Thanks St. George .. I never had much luck with thrift stores here, as Florida has a more casual & tropical style wardrobe.

I think he'd look more Goom bay Holiday than Doc Holiday  ;D
