Heck, ain't even thinkin' 'bout goin'. Much nicer here. Like yesterday. Rotten race, wasn't 1,400 miles away from home, went 'n did sumthin' else.

Last I went to live was Richmond. Practice 'n qualifyin' cost ya an empty Winston pack 'n they gave ya a fresh pack for it. Four or five of us in a pard's Suburban, all cops. Split up the gas didn't cost much. We'd hit the KFC where Kyle Boush was charged with reckless drivin' 'n get a bucket. Beer was in the cooler from the night before. There was an intermission so ya had time ta eat, grab a beer or three 'n hit the souvenir trailers. Sit anywhere ya wanted. No parkin' fee. Be home by 1900 easy.

The place changed hands. Charged for everything. Could put up with that, ya get what ya pay for. But they roped ya in. Kept the fans crowded up on the front stretch. That I wasn't puttin' up with. Ain't been back.

I had a problem one time going to the drag races at Ennis. I had some glass bottle DP's in my cooler. They told me I couldn't bring em in. I took the cooler back to my truck. I poured one of the DP's into a plastic cup. One of the folks at the gate grabs my cup and starts to smell it. There's nuthin in there but DP.  You couldn't bring any beer in, had to buy their's at 3 times the price.  I left after the races were over with a bad taste in my mouth from my treatment at the track.  I never went back and will never go back.

Whutcha know? The boy what runs the thing in Indiana is sayin' the whole problem with the waste of an afternoon Sunday is NASCAR's. Thinkin' if I were NASCAR I'd let 'im hear the sound of silence next August 'n see what kindah song he sings then.

Reckon he mustah fergot the f1 debacle a couple years ago.

The open wheel folks on the board say he's an idiot. Thinkin' they're probably right.

In case he's readin' along....... HEY TONY, YER TRACK SURFACE SUCKS!

Formula 1 ain't runnin there anymore. Indy wasn't made for 3800 lb stock cars. It's a big famous track and there is a big fan base in Indiana. Big bucks for NASCAR!

Would imagine the track might make a buck or two. We may disagree but I'm more than reasonably sure George needs NASCAR much worse than NASCAR needs him. Hell, he had to pay folks to enter the open wheel thing for the last few years to fill his fields out. Made it this year on the merger.

If the place is unsuitable for anything but Danicacars then keep the other stuff off it.

To me it isn't about NASCAR or the relic. It's about 200,000+ fans who put out hard earned bucks to see a race, they got screwed 'n he's sayin', 'Whoa, ain't my job, man', for the second time. When Smith fouled Charlotte up he repaved it before the next race.

It's always about the money and he needs Nascar to keep that thing open. It's not like it was in the 50s and early 60s when it was the popular form of racin. Most folks hadn't been exposed to stock car racin.

Wasn't tryin' ta be a smartass. My bias shows. Other Execs of the track, NASCAR, Goodyear 'n their kid sisters have apologized for it. Just George with a false arrogance deviates from the norm.

Even with the economy down NASCAR is the 800 pound gorilla when it comes to racin' in America. If I was bleedin' money 'n needed revenue they'd generate, I wouldn't be rattlin' the cage.

They're gettin' a slight bump in the live gate 'n thou pathetic, their TV ratin's are goin' up since the merger. I don't expect it to last

My opinion only. I'm glad. Maybe some day the Indianapolis Five Hundred will be composed of 33 of the best cars the builders can develop like they were when we were kids 'n not the kit cars they have now. Cars built with today's safety standards. I never want to see a sight like Sachs 'n McDonald again. Swede Savage tryin' ta crawl out of the wreckage. I was just a kid.

Maybe the gimmick of Danicamania will be gone. An Andretti kid that can't drive sits on the sidelines.

Paul Tracy. Hasn't driven since last year. Gets into a thrown together car with a thrown together team at the last minute 'n finishes fourth.  That's the type of driver I wanna see run. 'N he's past his prime. Throw down big bucks to get the french guy that killed 'em in CC back. Everybody loved to see 'im get beat.

Make it a serious race for serious racers once again 'n it will retake it's place in the world of racin'.

'Skins win the Hall of Fame Game. Know it's pre-season but the HoF means a l'il more. 'Sides that, as a 'Skins fan, I'll take a win anywhere I can get it.

Thanks for the game, Buck. Hope it didn't put y'all out too much.

Missed most of the 1st quarter didn't see 'im on the field. Saw 'im on the sidelines with his pads off rootin' for the home team was all.

Didn't put me out none, Arcey, I stayed way aways from that stuff. ::) :o
Jason Taylor, a University of Akron grad. He wasn't in at all I believe, not sure what the deal was. Colt's without Manning have no offense. The two QB's they fielded were next to useless..................Buck 8) ::)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

Payton makes the Colts go and if he ain't playin', they are below average.  I know they gotta look at other players and these pre-season games don't mean much.  I didn't know where he played college ball at.

Every year.......

The pros get the thugs, gangstas 'n criminals from college. The 'student athlete playin' for the love of the game' is as much of a myth as the crap some those 'experts' profess about Black Powder in the Den. Ask Frank Beamer. He's real good at draftin' 'em outtah high school. Ain't no secret.

I agree on most all counts....... jist seems that the Pro $$$$ bring out the "badass" attitude to the extreme.

AND......... there are those like Tiki Barber and his brother, plus many others, who are credits to the game and should be the role models that youngsters look up to.

The thugs, gangstas an' criminals get the press coverage.
